We are currently looking to recruit a CASS Manager to join our Risk Assurance and Advisory Services (RAAS) Team within the Financial Services sector. Our financial services sector works across wealth management, hedge fund managers, private equity and venture capital and fintech providing CASS assurance services.



This is a great opportunity to join our growing team, contribute to and support the strategy of our broader RAAS offering within the sector, shaping its future. As a senior member of the team, you'll support the development of our CASS specialism by working closely with our RAAS team to build capability and service our CASS clients. You will have the opportunity to contribute to shaping the training materials and work paper templates.



We have an extensive FinTech offering and broad community, you will be instrumental in the implementation and integration of CASS 15 and therefore the success of our team within the market.

Main Duties and Responsibilities



Manage CASS audit engagements:



planning, fieldwork and completion review and management;

coach and develop staff;

lead client meetings;

research and propose solutions to accounting queries for discussion with the RI;

draft CASS reports;

monitor budgets and recoveries and where applicable discuss overruns with clients; and

manage client and RI expectations.

Being a key point of contact for your client portfolio throughout the year

Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients as well as prospective clients

Managing the overall service delivery to clients this includes overseeing the delivery of non audit services to your clients.

Contribute to general RAAS advisory projects

Client billing

Line management of staff members in the team

Co-ordination with other service line teams to deliver a high quality and cohesive client service

Reporting directly to the RI and having several direct team members report to you.

There will be the opportunity for the right candidate to be involved in business development, including attending and participating in events and thought leadership.



The Candidate



ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)

Extensive CASS audit experience, including CASS 6, CASS 7 and safeguarding

Exceptional communication skills with the ability to coach and develop a team and actively build a talent pipeline

Strong knowledge of the FCA's Client Assets Sourcebook and its practical application

Wider knowledge and experience of the wider FS regulatory landscape is desired

Deep understanding of governance frameworks, business structures, and control environments in the asset management sector

Multitask in terms of handling multiple clients simultaneously

Ability to produce high quality business style reports

Proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong relationships

Be able to learn and adapt to new situations or work on new software

Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills

Strong project management capabilities and experience leading professional teams
