To oversee all assets held in the nominee account and all client cash held in the WBS bank accounts or the accounts of outsource clients are reconciled to third party records and that WBS comply with regulators and industry best practice in this area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct internal and external client assets and client money reconciliations in accordance with internal policies and CASS 6 and 7 requirements.
Ensure that asset shortfall are identified and correctly funded
Monitor the allocation of client money to ensure it is allocated within the time frame specified in CASS 7 and escalate and issues in line with the CASS Policy.
Monitor client money balances to ensure that the diversification of client money is maintained and process any account transfers required to ensure adherence to polices.
Ensuring that all cash and asset reconciliation breaks are investigated, escalated or resolved in accordance to the CASS policy.
Ensure all daily Client Money Reconciliations are completed accurately and on time, maintaining ongoing compliance with FCA CASS 7 obligations.
Collate information required for the production of the CMAR submission to the FCA.
Production of Management Information ("MI") on the cash and asset reconciliations.
Performance of any user acceptance testing or other system testing that is required relating to CASS reconciliation activities.
Ensuring that the procedures for this function are maintained, accurate and are followed.
Provided support to the annual CASS Audit.
Deal with queries in a timely fashion relating to team actives from outsource clients.
Collate information required for the production of the CMAR submission for outsource clients.
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
Experience using reconciliation systems (e.g., AutoRek or similar platforms)
Working knowledge of FCA CASS requirements and principles
