Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious meals that delight our guests while managing kitchen operations efficiently.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus. Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring all food preparation meets safety and hygiene standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and presentation. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to health regulations. Monitor food quality during preparation and service, making adjustments as necessary.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or catering environment. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary skills, and food safety regulations. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A passion for cooking with creativity in meal presentation and flavour combinations. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
