Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance and guidance to children in various settings, including educational environments and activities. This position requires a strong commitment to fostering positive relationships with children and supporting their development through engaging activities and effective behavior management strategies.

Responsibilities

Assist children with daily activities and routines, ensuring their safety and well-being. Provide individualized support to young people with varying needs, utilizing strategies tailored to their unique requirements. Facilitate recreational activities such as sports coaching, theater, or arts and crafts to enhance social skills and creativity. Maintain open communication with manager, social worker, parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise. Utilize first aid knowledge when necessary to ensure the health and safety of all children in your care. Support behavior management initiatives, helping children develop self-regulation skills and positive behaviors.

Experience

Candidates should possess experience working with children in various capacities, including but not limited to:

Experience of children's residential care setting Experience of trauma informed practice Familiarity with childhood development principles and behavior management techniques
