Pharmacy Casual Driver to Cover Annual Leave & Sickness

Kings Pharmacies are a small independent pharmacy group based in South Birmingham. We are a progressive small group of pharmacies possessing a "family" team spirit and looking for like minded individuals to join our team.

We have a vacancy for a casual Prescription Delivery driver who will cover our drivers' annual leave (and possible sickness) and will be covering either of our two areas:

Cotteridge and Weoley Castle.

Flexibility in hours is essential in order for us to deliver this much needed service to our patients. Our existing drivers work 25-30 hours per week, over Monday - Friday.

Duties will include;

- Collect prescriptions from doctors surgeries and liaise any questions or queries with the pharmacy team.

- Return all unsigned prescriptions to surgery for signature

- Organize your delivery route to minimize time and effort using a delivery APP.

- Ensure that the correct medication is delivered to patients using our delivery APP.

- Ensure that on Controlled Drug delivery the Controlled delivery book is used and the medicine is signed for as per standard operating procedures.

- Pick up returned medication where applicable

- Feedback and questions or concerns to the pharmacy team

- Act as a ambassador for the business to surgeries, care homes and other healthcare organisations.

Individual must be

:

- Reliable

- Possess excellent customer service skills

- Of a calm and caring nature as you are delivering with elderly and vulnerable patients

- Flexible to deliver urgent medication to patients in urgent need.

- Organised

- Possess good paperwork and record keeping skills

- Be able to use a Pharmacy Delivery app to organise routes, capture delivery signatures etc.

- Possess good time management skills, work well under pressure and to deadlines

Job Type:

Flexible working can be accommodated and self employed considered. Due to the role involving delivering essential medicines to the elderly/housebound the successful candidate needs to be reliable and honor any arrangement agreed for the duration.

Required education:

Secondary education
Required experience:

Collection/ Delivery: 1 year (not compulsory)
Required licence or certification:

(Clean) Drivers Licence or with no more than 3 points for minor motoring offence. Must be willing to undergo a CRB (DBS) check.
