About The Role and Person

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Capel Manor College and we are now seeking to appoint a Farm Shop Assistant to join the team at Forty Hall Farm. The successful candidate will work within our Farm Shop which sells our own organic farm produce, including vegetables, salad, eggs, flowers and free-range meat.



The primary responsibility of the Farm Shop Assistant is to deliver exceptional service within the Forty Hall Farm Shop to customers visiting the shop. This will include serving customers and replenishing stocks. Additionally, they will undertake other various tasks associated with the efficient operation of the Farm Shop.



The candidate should excel in building positive relationships across all levels, possess strong communication skills for effective interaction with shop customers, staff, management, and farm colleagues. The candidate should have good numeracy and literacy skills and be competent using a payment terminal and other shop equipment. Experience working in customer services or dealing with customers and members of the public is essential. The ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure during busy shop hours is crucial. Team collaboration is emphasised, and familiarity or willingness to learn social media skills, particularly on Instagram, is desired. An enthusiasm and willingness to learn and take part in other activities across the farm is essential.



Weekend working is required for this role.###
