Job Summary

A Casual Driver Bearer plays a vital role in supporting the operations of the funeral home, ensuring that services are conducted with dignity and respect. This position involves assisting with various tasks related to the preparation and management of funerals, providing compassionate support to families during their time of need.

Duties

Cleaning and driving funeral vehicles Help with the transportation of deceased individuals to and from the funeral home. Support the family during visitations and services by providing guidance and assistance as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the funeral home, ensuring all areas are presentable. Perform heavy lifting as required, which may include moving caskets or other equipment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with the role. Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and compassion towards grieving families. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting deceased individuals when necessary. Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by service schedules. This position is ideal for individuals looking to contribute meaningfully within a supportive team environment while helping families during their most challenging times. Willingness to join the on call rota to bring deceased into care out of hours THIS IS NOT A FULL TIME POSITION IT IS ZERO HOURS ON A CASUAL BASIS
Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 24 per week
