About the opportunity:
We are excited to share a new opportunity within our Casual Matchday pool within our Stadium Operations department for Casual Head Stewards, who will hold responsibility for the supervision of all Stewards assigned to their Stand or part of a Stand.
Key responsibilities include:
Attending pre-match briefing for discussion and dissemination of information
Checking that all your Stewards are present at your briefing, correctly attired and smart in appearance.
Ensuring that all Stewards are fully briefed on Stadium Safety instructions and contingency plans.
Briefing Stewards and ensure that they fully understand their role and responsibilities, including Emergency Procedures.
Liaising with Police officers in your area and provide support and quick response to any incidents.
Reporting any untoward incident within the section or any matter which requires evaluation, further enquiry or action by the Club, as soon as reasonably practicable.
Constant supervision of surrounding areas to ensure the safety and security of spectators.
Knowledge of the stadium emergency procedures and code words for dealing with fire/suspicious items and action when required for your role.
Who we're looking for:
We are looking for an individuals with exceptional customer service and communication skills and who is confident within a fan facing role, and has experience of working with spectators/members of the public in a high-pressure environment.
To be shortlisted for this role you must have either a NVQ Level 3 in Spectator Safety or commitment to work towards the qualification and have completed the Stewards Induction 2025/26 via Workday. Completion of the Stewards Induction 2025/26 via Workday.
This role is a Casual Matchday position with the closing date for applications being Monday 7th July 2025.
