Instrumental Tutors

Ashfield School

Grade and Salary: 26.06 per hour

Working Pattern: Casual

The School:

Ashfield School is renowned for high standards of teaching, behaviour and academic achievement. One of the largest schools in England (2700 on role), staff work together each day to support, inspire and challenge students to give their best in our safe, happy and ambitious working environment.

Our recent Ofsted report, published in November 2021, confirms the incredibly positive culture across the school. Ashfield School is a great place to work and, as part of the DFE school re-building project, will move into brand new buildings over the next few years. We are located close to the A38 and M1 and there is a large free staff car park. Facilities across the large school campus are excellent with numerous staff social and workspaces, staff specific catering and sporting facilities, including a fitness suite and swimming pool.

The role:

We are looking to appoint a number of instrumental tutors to join our team of peripatetic music tutors.

We are looking for tutors in Brass, Guitar, Drums and Vocal.

This role will teach 1-2-1 music classes to students from Ashfield School. There will also be opportunity for the post holder to run extra-curriculum activities for larger groups, as well as lead sporadic whole-class taster sessions to Year 7 classes, with agreement from the school's leadership team.

The person:

This post will suit a dedicated and experienced instrumental tutor. The post holder will need to be able to integrate into our music community and be an effective communicator.

Previous experience of tutoring students from ages 11 - 16 is essential.
