shifts run from 9:00am to 6:00pm. No evening shifts and predominantly the shifts will be Monday to Friday

Role Overview

We are looking for a reliable and friendly

Casual Kitchen Assistant

to join our dedicated team at a care home located in

Haslemere

. This is a daytime role with shifts running from

9:00am to 6:00pm

, offering a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a supportive and caring environment.

Key Responsibilities

General Cleaning & Washing Up

: Maintain high standards of hygiene by keeping the kitchen area clean and tidy throughout the day.

Meal Service Support

: Assist in the preparation and setup of trolleys for both morning and afternoon drinks rounds.

Dining Room Preparation

: Help lay up the dining area ahead of mealtimes, ensuring everything is ready for a smooth and welcoming service.

Lunchtime Assistance

: Support the chefs with serving lunch at the counter, helping ensure residents receive their meals in a timely and respectful manner.

Evening Meal Preparation

: In the afternoon, you will work independently to prepare and serve supper. This includes reheating soup, plating a light main meal (pre-prepared by the chef), and serving dessert.

End-of-Day Duties

: At the end of your shift, you'll be responsible for cleaning down the kitchen and ensuring it is left safe, tidy, and ready for the next day.

Ideal Candidate:

Must be

18 years of age or older

Able to work independently and as part of a team Good communication skills and a friendly, can-do attitude Previous kitchen or catering experience is desirable but not essential - full training will be provided
