Casual Playworker For Breakfast / Afterschool & Holiday Club
Job Description
We are looking for an Motivated and Enthusiastic Individual to work in our busy Breakfast and Afterschool Club. Ideally candidate will have childcare experience / qualification but isn't a must. The role is for September but we may have some Summer work in our Holiday Playscheme for the right candidate.
This is a Casual position to cover staff sickness / holidays as and when required so needs flexibility and reliability. You may work 1 or 2 shifts 1 week / 7 shifts another week but you will be guaranteed weekly work. Please don't apply if you are looking for a full time position. Could lead to more permanent work!
We are open 7am - 9am and 3pm - 6pm Monday to Friday term time and the position is to cover these hours as and when required.
We also open full days 7.30am - 6pm in school holidays with staff working half days 7-12.30pm or 12.30pm - 6pm. Again this will be as and when required.
Job Purpose
To provide support/assistance in the day to day operation of Lindley Out of School Club. Undertake face to face work with the children in delivering a programme of activities in a safe play environment.
Ensure that the programme of activities delivered is interesting, valuable and appropriate to the children using the facilities by providing a variety of play and learning opportunities whilst identifying and accommodating changing needs. Joining in where appropriate to ensure the children achieve maximum enjoyment.
Ensure that parents, carers and other visitors are made to feel welcome on visiting the Club and that they receive appropriate information and advice regarding the childcare.
