Salary: 16.00 Per Hour, Minimum 6 hour shift regardless.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated PCV Bus Driver to join our team on a casual basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving our iconic Routemaster buses for various private hire events in the South Wales and the South West area. This role requires a professional and customer-focused individual with a passion for driving and a deep appreciation for the heritage of the Routemaster and delivering great customer service. You will be working as part of a team alongside a conductor to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for our passengers.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate a London Routemaster bus for private hires, tours, and events.

- Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers at all times.

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in excellent condition.

- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.

- Provide excellent customer service, assisting passengers with their needs and inquiries.

- Work closely with the conductor to manage passenger boarding and alighting efficiently.

- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times.

- Manage time effectively to ensure punctuality for all bookings.

- Research routes in advance to prepare for each hire, ensuring knowledge of the journey and any potential challenges.

- Assist the conductor in preparing the bus for hires, including adding ribbons, ensuring the bus is presentable, shunting buses, and washing the exterior.

Requirements

- Valid PCV (Public Carriage Vehicle) license.

- Proven experience as a bus driver, with specific experience driving London Routemaster buses preferred.

- Comprehensive knowledge of the road network and traffic regulations.

- Excellent driving record with no recent traffic violations.

- Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact positively with passengers.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- Punctual, reliable, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

- A professional appearance and attitude.

- Strong planning and route research skills.

- Willingness to assist with bus preparation tasks, ensuring the vehicle is clean and decorated as required.
