About the role

This role is an exciting opportunity for someone with an interest in and enthusiasm for engaging with people, creating memorable visitor experiences, and supporting exciting events at one of the most iconic destinations in Wales.

The National Botanic Garden of Wales is dedicated to conservation, education and the enjoyment of visitors. The Visitor Services team is a small, bilingual team responsible for welcoming all visitors to the Garden, including local members, international visitors, and corporate guests. As part of our Visitor Services team, you will play a vital role in welcoming guests and ensuing they have a memorable visit by helping them explore everything the Garden has to offer.

As a Visitor Services Assistant, you will work with this team and all other departments in the Garden to ensure our public-facing activities properly reflect the work that goes on here, the ethos of the organisation and the wider culture of the county, the region and the country.

Responsibilities include greeting and assisting visitors, processing bookings and memberships, handling telephone and email enquiries, and working with teams across the organisation to enhance the visitor experience.
