Job Title: Casual Front of House Team Member

We are seeking dynamic and experienced casual waiting on staff to support our wonderful team at events and in our new establishment opening in October. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, leadership skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role requires effective leadership skills, culinary and beverage knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food service, safety and quality. Candidate must be motivated to be part of something new, be friendly and reliable, be ready to be involved in a wonderful and dynamic team with a positive approach to what they do.

Location: Split between local events and off-site events and our new establishment opening in October

Hours: Casual - Flexible shifts available (evenings, weekends, and event work)

Rate of Pay: 12.50 per hour + share of restaurant tips

Start Date: ASAP

Experience Level: Experience in hospitality essential along with the right personality and attitude

About the Role:

We're looking for friendly, reliable, and energetic Front of House team members to join us across our exciting new venue and at our live event catering setups.

At Smoke and Steel, you'll be part of a one-of-a-kind events team delivering unforgettable dining experiences--serving guests at weddings and private events where food is cooked live over fire.

This is a great role for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy environment, and likes variety in their week.

What You'll Be Doing:

Greeting and seating guests with a positive attitude

Taking orders and serving food and drinks

Supporting smooth service during busy periods

Working at private events and weddings (occasional off-site work)

Helping set up and pack down event venues

Keeping service areas clean and presentable

What We're Looking For:

Able to adapt between restaurant service and event settings off site

Friendly and confident with great people skills

Comfortable working on your feet and handling busy shifts

Reliable, punctual, and a team player

Driving is a bonus but not essential

Previous experience is a bonus, but not essential--we'll provide training
