Job Description

Key Accountabilities:



To assist with quality checks of exposures cleansed via the AI platform for all Property and Marine classes To assist with the backfilling of legacy system accounts into the new automated platform, Touchstone and Analyze Re To assist with Cat modelling/data capture processes, maintaining up-to-date documentation. To ensure exposure data standards are well understood by Underwriting and actively monitored. To support Portfolio Leads in production of regular portfolio analysis and rollup reporting across all Property and Marine classes. To assist with maintaining and developing Power BI reporting dashboards. To assist with Cat modelling/data capture processes, maintaining up-to-date documentation. To drive process efficiency by embedding technology where necessary via programming packages (SQL, Python etc.) Ensure processes are aligned with Westfield best practice, exceed Lloyd's Principles. To ensure excellent Cat modelling service levels and accuracy for all product lines.

Organisational Accountabilities:



Data Requirements: + To ensure all key deliverables are executed at the required frequency and quality.
Communications: + To assist in aligning Westfield modelling geographies, ensuring a globally consistent approach.
+ To assist in forging strong relationships with the underwriting teams.
+ To proactively engage with stakeholders.
Strategy and Stakeholder Management: + To deliver Underwriting goals.

Skills/Competencies:



Good knowledge of coding languages. Ability to work in a team environment. Desire to focus on both business and technical issues. Ability to apply independent thought to coming up with solutions to business problems. Ability to apply independent thought to coming up with solutions to business problems. Able to communicate technical ideas to non-practitioners in a clear and concise manner. Ability to prioritise workloads and deliverables. Ability to collaborate within the team and across multiple business functions.

Qualifications:



A degree with numerical or programming or computer science focus desirable.

Technical Skills & Experience:



Experience using programming languages, preferably Python but SQL also advantageous. Experience using modelling software is desirable (e.g. Touchstone) but not essential. SQL and Power BI experience is desirable. Proficient in the use of Excel. An interest within Catastrophe Modelling or knowledge of desirable.
