Category Manager
Purpose of the role:
This is a key role within the new procurement function reporting to the Head of Procurement, leading some of the below Procurement Categories.
There are multiple categories of predominately indirect greenfield spend that need to be covered by this new procurement team. Categories to be covered are (either leading or supporting): Capital buildings, Plant, Sold Commercial services (cleaning, security, Cash in transit), Consumables, Corporate services, Building Maintenance, Fleet and Tech / Comms/ Data.
Please note some of these categories such as Corporate Services and Building Maintenance do not require full category management but more strategic mentoring of stakeholders to drive value and mitigate commercial risk. Allocation of categories will depend on the skills and experience to date of candidates and their development wishes. You should have current category experience of three or more.
