As a Category Manager, you\'ll play a pivotal role in optimizing their indirect spend, ensuring they obtain top-notch products and services while achieving significant cost savings.

Are You Who We\'re Looking For?

As a successful candidate for this role, you\'ll possess a combination of skills and experience that make you a perfect fit to lead their indirect procurement efforts. Here\'s what you need:

  • Proven experience in relevant and successful category management, ideally within indirects.
  • Impressive track record of achievements in contract negotiation, cost savings, risk mitigation, supplier consolidation, and strategic vendor partnerships.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
  • Solid business acumen, coupled with exceptional numerical skills to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • A passion for excellence and a commitment to delivering outstanding results, going the extra mile for success.
  • While not mandatory, some experience in FMCG, preferably within the drinks industry, would be beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally between group sites in the UK and to supplier locations.
What Does the Day-to-Day Look Like?

As a Category Manager, you\'ll be at the forefront of driving procurement success within the organization. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Collaborating closely with key business stakeholders to understand their objectives and priorities, incorporating them into your strategic procurement plan.
  • Utilizing your commercial savvy and market knowledge to implement an efficient and effective sourcing approach, providing valuable market insights and analysis.
  • Conducting competitive and professional tender processes to secure the best possible value for our products and services.
  • Developing and nurturing strong relationships with key suppliers, and closely monitoring market trends that may impact pricing or supply chain availability.
  • Cultivating robust internal relationships with finance to ensure savings realization and effective budget management and reporting.
