The Category Manager - Scientific & Laboratory will oversee procurement strategies, ensuring value for money and compliance within the not-for-profit sector. This role is based in London and focuses on managing supplier relationships to support scientific and laboratory needs.

• Develop and implement category strategies for scientific and laboratory procurement.
• Lead supplier negotiations to secure favourable terms and conditions.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and sector regulations.
• Analyse market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage supplier performance and address any service-level issues.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with organisational goals.
• Prepare and present reports on procurement activities and savings achieved.
• Support the development of sustainable and ethical sourcing practices.

A successful Category Manager - Scientific & Laboratory should have:

• Proven experience in procurement, particularly within scientific and laboratory categories.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of procurement regulations within the not-for-profit sector.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively.
• Familiarity with sustainable procurement practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Relevant professional qualifications, such as level 4 CIPS, MCIPS or equivalent, are advantageous.
