Job Overview

Newquay Golf Club was founded in 1890 and the clubhouse has stunning views across Fistral Beach and out into the bay. We are a vibrant golf club with over 700 members which has a reputation for being friendly and welcoming club.

We are seeking to appoint a caterer to provide a quality catering service to our members and visitors. This is an ideal opportunity for an innovative and motivated candidate to develop and expand a catering operation.

The role is offered on a self-employed basis and provides the opportunity for an experienced caterer to develop a successful business.

Duties

Prepare and present high-quality food to Club members, visitors and guests. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the catering area, including equipment and utensils. Adhere to food safety regulations and best practices throughout all stages of food preparation and service. Collaborate with NGC staff to ensure efficient service during events. Handle guest inquiries and feedback with professionalism, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times. Manage catering for social functions such as birthday parties and funeral wakes held at the Club.

Requirements

Proven experience in catering or hospitality roles is essential. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Experience in food preparation, serving, or culinary roles is highly desirable. Excellent guest service skills with the ability to interact positively with members, visitors and guests. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organisational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks effectively. A passion for food and hospitality, coupled with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
