We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Catering Administrator to join our team at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. This role is integral to supporting the catering management team by ensuring smooth administrative operations across the catering function.
You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including managing compliance paperwork, coordinating orders and deliveries, handling staff payment queries, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position requires excellent organisational skills, strong communication abilities, and the flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Place orders for provisions, uniforms, equipment, and other goods as per the ordering schedule.
Perform daily cash counts and banking for retail outlets, ensuring accurate records of takings.
Input weekly stock recharges for provisions and consumables supplied to wards.
Close financial books for catering on a weekly basis.
Complete monthly wastage records for compliance reporting.
Assist with HR-related matters, meeting planning, minute-taking, and preparation of service reports.
Handle administrative requests and queries from managers and team members.
Liaise with third-party suppliers and resolve queries promptly.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Previous experience in an administrative environment.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
