Catering & Hospitality Trainer

Location: Little Gate Farm, Beckley (near Rye, East Sussex)
Hours: Full time 40 hours (job share considered)
Salary: 12.50 per hour (permanent contract, daytime hours)

At Little Gate Farm, we're looking for a passionate catering professional. As our Catering & Hospitality Trainer, you'll use your experience to teach and coach autistic and learning disabled adults, helping them build the skills and confidence needed for paid employment.

What You'll Do

Support trainees to prepare a daily lunch for 10-15 people Teach catering, hospitality, and customer service skills through practice cafes and role-play Develop transferable work skills such as teamwork, timekeeping, and communication Promote healthy eating, food hygiene, and safe preparation Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

What We're Looking For

Essential

Passion for enabling adults with learning disabilities and autism to fulfil their potential Positive, proactive, and solution-focused attitude Experience in catering/hospitality, including cooking for groups Knowledge of food hygiene, kitchen safety, and stock management Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach Organised, adaptable, and calm under pressure Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to be creative Commitment to continuous improvement and reflective practice Ability to travel independently to our farm Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable

Experience supporting autistic and/or learning disabled adults Experience in training, coaching, or employment support Familiarity with SMART goals Experience in supported employment settings Food hygiene qualification (Level 2 or higher) Knowledge of inclusive practice and person-centred planning
