Job Description

Amberley Museum is a popular visitor attraction right next to Amberley Station, near Arundel in West Sussex. We are looking for casual Catering Assistants to work in our busy cafe, which is an important part of our visitor experience. Shifts are available Wednesday-Sunday daytime.

Applicants must be confident, friendly, bright, and self-motivated with the ability to work on their own and as part of a team with high personal standards. We like to ensure that our visitors have a great time when they are with us and we are looking for people who will take pride in their work and be part of a small staff team that runs the Museum with the help of over 400 volunteers.

The salary range is currently 11.00-12.21 per hour (depending on age) plus an allowance for holidays.

Job objectives and responsibilities:

Assisting in a front and/or back of house role as required Drink preparation and coffee making Working as part of a team Ensuring high standard of customer service at all times Maintaining all food safety requirements Ensuring the cafe is prepared for visitors prior to opening and left clean and tidy at the end of the day Operation of the EPOS till and credit card facilities
Personal Skills:

Friendly, hard-working and reliable Self-motivated and positive attitude, with good communication skills A strong customer-focused approach and confident when dealing with the public Ability to work under pressure and multi task Be able to work without supervision Good timekeeping and personal presentation Ability to implement food hygiene requirements to ensure safe working practices

Experience of working in a front of house role desirable but not essential.
