Job Description
Come and be part of our great catering team here at Rylands. We currently have a position for a catering assistant. If you enjoy working as part of a team we would love to hear from you.
Minimum 24 Hours per week - permanent
Age 18 to 20 : Rate of Pay 12.22 per hour
Age 21 and over : Rate of Pay 12.62 per hour
Shifts are Monday to Sunday on a rota basis.
Examples of shifts: 8am to 2pm, 8am to 6.30pm & 1.30pm to 6.30pm.
Responsibilities:
1. Cleaning and care of kitchen equipment.
2. Cleaning of all crockery/cutlery.
3. Washing and preparing of vegetables.
4. Preparing and serving breakfast.
5. Assisting in the service of all meals.
6. Responsible for cleaning of residents' dining room.
7. Observing hygiene practices.
8. Reporting any accidents which may occur.
9. To attend in-service training lectures.
10. Complete e-learning as part of essential training.
Desirable criteria:
Baking experience in a nursing home, school, cafe, restaurant or similar environment.
Skills:
It is desirable but not essential to have experience working in a catering environment. Training will be provided.
