We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a strong background in catering, food preparation, and guest services. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our events run smoothly and that our guests receive exceptional service.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items for catering events, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Set up and break down catering equipment and supplies before and after events. Serve food to guests, providing excellent customer service at all times. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the catering area during events. Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely delivery of menu items. Support with inventory management, including stock rotation and reporting any shortages. Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality or catering is highly desirable. Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures is essential. Experience in food preparation within a restaurant or hotel environment is advantageous. Strong communication skills with a focus on guest services. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A keen eye for detail and commitment to high standards of service. Culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
