We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our catering operations, ensuring that food preparation and service meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Job Opportunity: Part-Time Position Catering Assistant / Cook

We are looking for flexible candidates to join our team, with availability from Friday to Sunday

Work Hours:

5pm - 8.30pm

Key Responsibilities:

- Food preparation meat and vegetables

- Assisting with cooking various dishes on the menu. Must be able to read the orders and cook them in a timely manner.

- Customer service with answering phone, whatsapp messages, greeting customers that come into the shop

- General cleaning of all surfaces, floors, walls and equipment

Duties

Assist in the preparation of meals, including chopping, cooking, and assembling dishes according to established recipes and guidelines. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and best practices. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing utensils and equipment after use. Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying supervisors of any shortages or needs for replenishment. Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during meal preparation and service times.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or food environment is preferred. Basic cooking skills with an understanding of culinary principles are advantageous. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential to ensure compliance during meal preparation. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and guests professionally. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team are crucial for success in this role. Requirements:

- Preferred experience in cooking for up to 1 year.

- Weekend availability is essential
