We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of catering events, providing exceptional service to guests, and supporting the culinary team in food preparation. Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items in accordance with food safety standards. Set up and dismantle catering equipment and displays for events. Provide excellent guest services by attending to guests' needs during events. Support the culinary team with various tasks, including food preparation and cooking as required. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly regarding food safety. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service delivery. Assist with other catering department duties when necessary.

Requirements

Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or restaurant settings is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on guest services and teamwork. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules. A positive attitude and willingness to help others are essential traits for success in this role. A background in bartending or hotel services would be beneficial but not mandatory.
