The Role

Catering Assistant

Required ASAP

Part time 32.5 hrs per week

7:30 - 14:00

Lawn Primary School is looking for a motivated, energetic and organised individual to become part of the Catering team.



Lawn Primary School is an outstanding primary school with 436 pupils. We are located in a leafy suburb of Derby with extensive grounds and buildings. We are a big but friendly staff team where everyone matters. Lunchtimes are a happy time and all our food is cooked from scratch and adheres to school food standards.



Main Responsibilities are:

Assist with the preparation of food to be served to the children and staff Assist preparing and serving breakfast at Treehouse Club Cleaning equipment and premises Preparation of the dining room, including moving furniture, wiping tables and trays and setting up the counter Serving food to staff and pupils Washing up kitchen and dining equipment Working within food hygiene regulations and Health and Safety


The successful candidate will be friendly, have good communication skills as well as the ability to adapt their approach to suit the needs and different personalities of the children. You will:
