Working Pattern: 32.5 hours per week, 5 over 7 days (including weekends), 6.5 hours per day 8:30am until 3:30pm

Term Time Only: Yes - 34 working weeks per year

Salary: 15,114.25 per annum

Are you passionate about delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced, friendly environment? We're looking for a dedicated Food Service Assistant to join our front-of-house catering team at the University of Derby's Kedleston Road campus.



This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a vibrant university community, where your role will be key in creating a welcoming and efficient dining experience for students, staff, and visitors.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Food Service Assistant, you'll be the face of our catering service, ensuring high standards of food presentation, cleanliness, and customer care. Your responsibilities will include:

Customer Service & Sales Taking food and drink orders Operating tills and handling cash/card transactions Responding to customer queries and complaints professionally Food & Beverage Service Preparing and serving meals, snacks, and beverages Assisting with the preparation of simple dishes, sandwiches, and drinks Setting up and presenting food spreads, buffets, and catering stations
