Catering Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Ori Caffe Liverpool within the John Lewis Store. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our catering services run smoothly and efficiently. This position involves assisting with food preparation, service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. A passion for hospitality and a willingness to help others are essential for success in this role.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of food items according to established recipes and standards. Set up catering displays, ensuring they are visually appealing and well-organised. Serve food and beverages to guests, providing excellent customer service at all times. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and service areas during events. Adhere to food safety regulations, ensuring all food is stored, prepared, and served safely. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service delivery during events. Assist with bartending duties when required, including mixing drinks and serving beverages. Help with the breakdown of catering setups after events, ensuring all equipment is cleaned and stored properly.

Experience

Previous experience in a catering or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures is advantageous. Experience in food preparation or bartending will be considered a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A proactive attitude towards helping others and providing exceptional service.

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour
