We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team in Scarborough, United Kingdom. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality food service and maintaining a clean, efficient kitchen environment.

Assist in the preparation of delicious meals, snacks, and beverages Prepare Salads Serve food to customers in a friendly and professional manner Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, counter, and dining areas Adhere to all health and safety standards and food safety procedures Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations Assist with food inventory management and stock rotation Operate kitchen equipment and utensils safely and efficiently Contribute to menu planning and suggest improvements when appropriate Provide excellent customer service and address any customer inquiries or concerns Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge

Qualifications

Strong salad preparation skills and attention to detail Knowledge of health and safety standards in food service Excellent cleaning and hygiene practices Outstanding customer service skills Physical stamina to stand and move for extended periods Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and tasks Strong teamwork and communication skills Previous experience in food service or catering is preferred Food safety certification is a plus * High school diploma or equivalent
