Order and control stores and maintain and operate stock control systems properly.
Using fresh ingredients, prepare and serve high quality meals, snacks and special occasion foods, within budget.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety and ensure that all controls, recording and monitoring required by the Food Standards Agency and the Home Manager are carried out effectively.
Supervise and develop Kitchen Assistants.
Maintain effective communication with other kitchen staff, Care Staff, residents and visitors, and respond to the needs of residents.
Use all cleaning materials as directed, paying particular attention to COSHH regulated products.
Participate in residents meetings as required.
