Are you passionate about sushi and looking for an exciting opportunity to join a franchisee of Yo! Sushi? We are seeking dedicated catering assistant to join our dynamic team at our Yo! Sushi kiosk.

While previous experience in the industry is a bonus, it is not required as we welcome individuals with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. As a catering assistant, you will have the chance to showcase your sushi skills and deliver outstanding customer experiences. Whether you are an experienced sushi chef or just starting your journey, we provide full training to all our catering assistants. You will receive comprehensive training in sushi preparation techniques, food safety and hygiene standards, and excellent customer service skills.

We will support you every step of the way, ensuring you become a skilled and confident member of our team. In addition to our sushi offerings, we have a range of ready meals and an assortment of mouth-watering snacks and sides.

Duties to include:

- Making sushi ensuring rice is prepared safely and correctly

- Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling of ingredients

- Help with inventory management and restocking supplies
- Utilise upselling techniques to promote additional menu items
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and customers fridge

- Adhere to company policies and procedures

-You will be competent in all areas of the kitchen, to include food preparation, maintaining cleaning standards and regulations.

-Demonstrate a good working knowledge of fresh food and cooking techniques.

-Clean and maintain the kitchen by practising good food safety, sanitation and adhering to Health and Safety procedures.

-You will complete all training to be fully aware how to maintain a safe environment for our Team & customers.

-You will have a strong knowledge of all our product specs to deliver our fantastic menu to the highest standards.

-You will be able to roll sushi, prep our raw products, make our delicious Japanese snacks, sides and maintain a clean & safe environment abiding to Food Safety protocol & following the Trail app.

-You will deliver an exceptional customer experience to each customer who approaches the kiosk

-Upselling our products and promotions to customers.

-Deliver an exceptional customer experience by sampling daily and interacting with customers throughout the day

-You will be aware of how you can contribute to the success of your kiosk and its profitability.

-You will be ensuring daily records of delivery, wastage and temperature checks are completely and recorded accurately.

-You will complete all cleaning tasks in a timely manner as prescribed in Trail app.

-Attending community events

-Community marketing including flyering

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is advantageous
- Proficient in time management
- Familiarity with culinary terms and practices
- Ability to work well within a team and confident lone working
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues
