Job description

We have an exciting opportunity at our Openshaw

Campus to join our Facilities Department as a Catering Assistant on a permanent, part-time (25 hours per week) term-time only (36 weeks) basis.

In this role, you'll support daily kitchen operations, assist with food preparation, and ensure service areas are kept clean and well-stocked. You'll be working in a busy, supportive environment where great customer service and attention to detail are key. Previous experience in a catering or food service setting is ideal, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important. Our Openshaw campus is a vibrant, modern hub of learning, equipped with outstanding, industry-standard facilities designed to inspire both staff and students. Role Responsibilities

As directed by a Manager or Team Leader, to carry out catering duties in accordance with the daily work schedule, in line with College policies & procedures.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:


Hold or work towards a Food Hygiene Level 2. Manual Handling training. Risk assessment training. COSHH training. Able to work in a team.
