What we are looking for:
The NSB Trust is looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to help support our school kitchen at Northampton School has added another year group in September. The successful candidate will join a team of three, responsible for the day-to-day provision of an efficient catering operation, offering breakfast, break and lunch services based at our brand-new site off Thorpeville, Moulton. It is likely that hours could increase in the future.
Duties include operating tills, washing up and cleaning duties as well as some food preparation and serving.
Experience of working in a kitchen or school environment would be useful but not essential. Possession of an award in Food Safety in Catering is also desirable but again, not essential.
It is not a requirement of this post to complete First Aid at Work training, however, it is a qualification we would be happy to support the postholder to undertake.

Northampton School is an 11-16 state funded co-educational school on the North-Eastern outskirts of Northampton near Moulton. The school is part of The NSB Trust, with its partnership school, Northampton School for Boys, which has an illustrious heritage being founded in 1541 by Thomas Chipsey in Bridge Street, Northampton before moving to its present site in 1911.
Northampton School opened to 210 Year 7 students for the first time in September 2023 and moved onto its brand-new site with outstanding facilities in time for the start of the 2024/25 year.
