Join Our Team at Caldicot School
We are currently looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated catering team at Caldicot School. This is a fixed-term position until 22nd May 2026, working Monday to Friday during term time -- ideal for someone seeking a great work/life balance.
As a key part of our school canteen service, you will play a vital role in delivering excellent food and customer service to pupils and staff.
What You'll Be Doing
Assisting with the preparation and serving of food in a busy canteen environment
Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety
Providing excellent customer service in a friendly and professional manner
Supporting the catering manager and wider team during busy service periods
Helping ensure allergen procedures and health and safety standards are met
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in catering, food service, or retail (desirable but not essential)
Knowledge of high-volume food production and allergen management
A positive, proactive approach and ability to work well in a team
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards
A friendly, professional attitude and willingness to learn

Additional Information
