Catering Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that our catering events run smoothly and efficiently. This position is perfect for individuals with a passion for hospitality and a desire to provide exceptional guest services. Experience in hotel, culinary, restaurant, or catering environments is highly desirable.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items for catering events. Set up and dismantle catering equipment and displays as required. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations. Provide excellent guest services by attending to the needs of clients and guests during events. Support bartending duties, including serving beverages and managing bar supplies. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages. Help maintain cleanliness and organisation of the catering area before, during, and after events. Assist with inventory management, including tracking supplies and placing orders as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality, particularly in hotel, culinary, restaurant, or catering settings is an advantage. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules. A proactive attitude with a willingness to help wherever needed within the team. Bartending experience is a plus but not mandatory.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.21-12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week
