Hollinwood Academy, Failsworth


NJC scale point 3 - 24,027 (full time / full year)


Actual alary pro rata: 9,108 per annum


Commencing September 2025



Part of the New Bridge Multi Academy Trust, Hollinwood Academy provides a broad and balanced curriculum that enables children and young people from reception to Key Stage 4 to access creative learning opportunities tailored to meet their individual needs. Our children and young people have a diagnosis of autism and/or social and communication difficulties.



We have worked hard to continue to be at the forefront of successful, innovative curriculum design, with overall breadth and balance, which provides our children and young with their full entitlement. As a result, our students benefit from excellent opportunities in all aspects of our curriculum to achieve and improve their academic achievement, social skills, communication skills, knowledge, understanding, well-being and physical development.





Due to the complex nature of our students, high levels of emotional and physical resilience are needed in dealing with challenging behaviour. However, the knowledge that our work is making a positive impact in helping the young people to grow and work towards independence brings great reward.



We currently have a vacancy from September 2025 for an enthusiastic and efficient catering assistant based initially at Hollinwood Academy, Roman Road campus, Hollinwood. The role involves general catering duties including basic food preparation, serving of meals and all aspects of cleaning as directed by the cook supervisor. The successful candidate will be a member of a small catering team and will need to have an eye for excellence in delivery standards and service reputation at all times.



Previous experience is preferred although full training will be given. The successful candidates will be passionate about creating a welcoming environment through supporting the catering team with schools meals. Key elements for any candidate are excellent attendance and reliability.





Please note that all staff may be required to work flexibly across the Group when needed.

This post will be subject to a number of pre-employment checks including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references and proof of right to work in the UK in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996. Actual salary pro rata:

9,108 per annum

Contracted hours:

16 hours 25 minutes per week/ Term Time plus 3 days (193 days)
