Monday - Friday, 8am-4pm. Every other Saturday, 7am-2pm, with a day off during the week.

Moreton Hall provides catering for all the school's daily needs during term time and for educational programmes during school holidays.

We are looking for a

Catering Assistant

who is passionate about food and eager to learn and grow in a professional kitchen environment. This role involves assisting the Catering Manager and the team in the smooth running of the school catering department.

Your Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation, including chopping vegetables and making soups, sauces, and desserts. Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas. Assist in receiving and storing food supplies and ingredients. Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and notify the Senior Chef when items need to be replenished. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Requirements

Essential:

Must have previous experience working in a commercial or professional kitchen environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
