Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant with previous experience within sandwich bars preferable. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a strong background in catering and food service. This role is essential in ensuring that our service runs smoothly. As a Catering Assistant, you will be involved in various aspects of food preparation, serving, and maintaining high standards of food safety.

Duties

Assist with the preparation and presentation of food items for events, ensuring quality and adherence to food safety standards. Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner, providing an excellent dining experience. Collaborate with the catering team to set up and dismantle event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, and serving stations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and serving areas throughout events. Support the team with inventory management, including tracking supplies and reporting any shortages. Provide assistance during events by responding promptly to guest requests and ensuring their needs are met. Uphold high standards of hygiene and safety in accordance with health regulations.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety practices. Experience in serving food in a fast-paced environment, ideally within restaurants or catering settings. Excellent communication skills and a friendly disposition towards customers. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in high-pressure situations. A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service with attention to detail. Basic requirement Food Hygiene and Safety Certificate for Retail Level II
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
