Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the smooth operation of catering services, ensuring high standards of food presentation and customer service. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality industry, particularly in catering, food preparation, and customer service environments.

Responsibilities

Assisting in food preparation and presentation to meet quality standards Serving food and beverages efficiently and courteously to guests Setting up and clearing catering areas before and after events Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and serving areas Supporting the team during events, including replenishing supplies as needed Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards Assisting with stock control and inventory management Providing excellent customer service, addressing guest needs promptly

Requirements

Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is desirable but not essential; training will be provided Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous Experience in food preparation or restaurant environments is a plus Barista experience or working behind a bar is beneficial but not mandatory Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour Ability to work flexibly, including during busy periods and weekends if required A professional attitude with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences

Pay: 13.85 per hour
