Overview:

The Catering Assistant is the friendly face of the catering service, responsible for delivering excellent customer service and supporting the preparation of high-quality, nutritious meals using fresh, sustainable ingredients.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide outstanding customer service to students and staff. Serve food and operate tills (full training provided). Assist chefs with meal preparation and kitchen duties. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment. Follow all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies.

Ideal Candidate:

Friendly, adaptable, and energetic team player. Strong customer service and communication skills. Previous catering experience is helpful but not required. Basic knowledge of Health & Safety; Food Hygiene Level 2 preferred (training offered).

Package & Benefits:

12.21 per hour. Monday-Friday only, no weekends or late nights. 10 working hours per week (2 hrs/day), term-time only (38 weeks per year). Excellent work-life balance.
