We are close to both Biggar and West Linton and less than 20 minutes from Peebles. Our dedicated team shares a common mission: to offer compassionate support to those overcoming addiction.

We're looking for a Catering Assistant who can help fuel this important journey, serving nutritious and delicious meals that nourish both patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

As a Catering Assistant, you'll play a vital role in preparing and serving up to 200 nutritious meals daily, ensuring both our patients and staff are well-nourished and supported. You will:

Assist chefs in meal preparation and presentation. Contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen. Serve meals with care, warmth, and professionalism. Uphold high standards of hygiene and food safety. Occasionally drive our kitchen van and manage deliveries.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in hospitality or food preparation (1 year preferred). Familiarity with HACCP standards and food safety practices. A collaborative team player with strong communication skills. Willingness to work weekends. A valid driver's license is a bonus!

Schedule

Part-time: 16 hours per week

Flexible rota across 7 days

Shifts: 07:00-15:00 and 10:30-18:30

Due to the rural nature of our location, there is no access to reliable public transport. Do you have your own vehicle and are you located within a daily commutable distance from West Linton? Are you able to commit to working 8-hour shifts, scheduled across any 5 days out of 7, with shift times falling between 07h00 - 18h30 including weekends?
