To support day to day catering operations, ensuring high standards of service, food quality, and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation, presentation, and serving of food and beverages.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining areas.
Ensure all food is stored, handled, and prepared in line with health and safety regulations.
Support chefs and catering staff with daily kitchen operations.
Set up and clear down catering areas before and after service.
Operate dishwashers and clean kitchen utensils, equipment, and work surfaces.
Provide friendly and efficient customer service during events or meal service times.
Assist with stock control, deliveries, and rotation of supplies.
Follow company policies and procedures to maintain high standards of service and safety.
Requirements:
Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or food service (desirable but not essential).
Food hygiene or safety certification (advantageous).
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
Working Conditions:
Based on-site at Magna Science Adventure Centre.
Flexible working hours, including regular weekends, evenings and Bank Holiday's to support events or peak periods.
Active involvement in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Pay: 13.20 per hour
Expected hours: 7.5 - 37.5 per week
