Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a keen interest in food service. This role is essential in ensuring that our catering events run smoothly, providing exceptional service to our guests and maintaining high standards of food safety and preparation.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items for catering events, ensuring quality and adherence to food safety standards. Serve food and beverages to guests, providing excellent customer service and responding to any inquiries or requests. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the catering area, including equipment, utensils, and dining spaces. Collaborate with the catering team to set up and dismantle event spaces efficiently. Support with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality or catering is preferred, with a strong understanding of guest services. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential; culinary experience is an advantage. Experience in restaurant or hotel environments will be beneficial. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are key attributes for success in this role.
