Catering Assistant

Salary:

12.35 per hour

Hours:

30 hours per week, including alternate weekends.

Shifts between:

7am-2.30pm, 8.30am-7pm and 1.45pm-7pm.

An exiting opportunity has arisen to join our hardworking catering team at Lincoln House care home. As Catering Assistant you will be assisting the Head Chef in providing, managing, and developing a high-quality catering service to approximately 60 residents, plus guests and visitors of this wonderful care home.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation, cooking and, attractive presentation of all meals. Prepare simple meals i.e., vegetables and salad items for service. Prepare ancillary items for service such as bread, snacks and, soft drinks. Interact regularly with residents to gain feedback on the catering service. Deliver beverage and food trolleys for the residents between meals. Ensure the smooth transfer of supplies, goods and equipment between storage and work areas. Operate all kitchen equipment in accordance with the appliance instructions and company policies and procedures.
