Bouygues Energies and Services currently has an exciting opportunity within our Facilities department for a Catering Assistant to support our catering facilities at King\'s College London in Waterloo.

This is a permanent position working 40 hours p/week, 8 hours per day (rostered for 9 hours with a 1 hour unpaid break) to be completed between 7.30am & 6.30pm working 5 days out of 7 (occasional later evenings will be required until 10pm). Please note there will be a requirement in the contract to work weekends as and when required, in particular for the three summer months of June, July and August due to weekend hospitality events/summer schools.

Key Activities:

• To work in all areas of the catering business as requested/rostered including, but not limited to, Retail, Restaurant, Cafes, Hospitality, Kitchen.
• Restock/merchandise all displays/fridges as and when required and assist with monthly stock takes.
• Maintain cleanliness of all catering areas through regular and scheduled deep cleaning.
• Compliance with all Health & Safety, Food Safety legislation such as temperature recording, wastage recording, stock rotation, labelling, allergens, etc.
• Process transactions through the tills in line with the cashless policy.
• Working 40 hours per week, rostered for 9 hours per day (8 hours plus a one hour unpaid break), typically either 07:30 to 16:30 or 09:30 to 18:30 during an ordinary, standard working week where there are no evening/weekend events or summer schools

Work days will be predominately Monday to Friday with occasional evening/weekend work during term time for events/hospitality and university open days. Regular evening/weekend work during summer. * Must have the flexibility to work weekends/evenings when there are events/hospitality and during the summer schools program, out of term (approximately 10/11 weeks from the end of June to beginning of September each year), on a rota basis

Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience within catering/hospitality and/or as a Barista is highly desirable.
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
• A basic knowledge of Health & Safety.
• Basic Food Hygiene awareness and basic knowledge/understanding of HACCP.
• Flexible with working out of hours as required
