25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am to 1pm (must be flexible between 7am and 2pm).

Role Purpose:



As a catering assistant on our catering team, you will play a key role at the heart of our bakery, working with the management team to provide high-quality service to both our clients and customers. As a catering assistant, you will be involved in the daily production of a wide variety of goods, including cakes, buffets, savouries and hot meals prepared on-site and distributed to our customers. You will also provide support and training to a group of adults who have a physical or learning disability (referred to as 'Clients' in this job description), who access the bakery as part of their day service.

You will provide absence cover for our delivery driver when required. This part of the role requires you to deliver goods that have been prepared in the bakery to our customers in the Greater Manchester area. Therefore you are required to have a full, valid driving licence and you must be prepared to drive a small, electric delivery van.

Core Responsibilities:



Catering Assistant:



You will work with your colleagues to complete a daily production plan, ensuring that targets for the day are met as set out by the Catering Supervisor. You will produce a large range of prepared goods which will be sent out to our internal cafes. This includes sandwiches, savouries and salads. You will prepare and produce cakes and biscuits from scratch ensuring that recipes are adhered to. You will prepare and produce hot meals including chilli's, curries and pasta dishes. You will prepare and produce buffets ensuring quality and consistency. You will ensure that all dietary requirements requests are adhered to. You will comply with food hygiene regulations, ensuring the bakery is kept to a high standard of cleanliness and that all paperwork is completed accurately, within the desired timeframe. You will be required to attend and complete training and comply with all of Pure Innovations policies and procedures. You will be required to open or secure the building as a key holder. You will be required to serve customers who come into the bakery for bread, cakes and coffees to takeout. This includes use of a barista coffee machine. You will be required to attend team meetings and contribute to the bakeries development. You will deliver a high standard of customer service, both to customers who visit the bakery and when taking orders over the phone. You will be assist with the support of a group of our clients who access the bakery as part of their day service. This involves providing our clients with training on the different elements of the bakery, ensuring that they are actively involved and engaged.

Delivery Driver:



In the absence of our delivery driver, you will be required to deliver goods to our internal cafes and our external customers within the Greater Manchester area. You will be required to pick up and drive our electric delivery vehicle from our head office in Hazel Grove when required. You will complete mandatory vehicle safety checks. You will ensure the vehicle is kept to a high standard of cleanliness. You will ensure that after each use the vehicle is placed on charge at our head office. You will deliver a high standard of customer service when delivering to our customers. You will be a competent and considerate driver, ensuring that all road safety laws are adhered to. You will be required to report any vehicle faults to the appropriate person and within the desired timeframe. Adhere to strict time constraints when making deliveries, ensuring that all deliveries are completed on time and in line with customer need. You may be required to assist in the setting up of buffets in line with the needs of our customers. You will adhere to Pure Innovations Driving policy.

Requirements:



A full UK driving licence, held for a minimum of 2 years.

Training in food hygiene (level 2 or above).

At least 1 years catering experience including food preparation.

Proficiency in working with ingredients and recipes.
