We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant / Jiffy Van Driver to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the culinary team by ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and hospitality, and who thrive in a collaborative setting.

Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation of ingredients for cooking and food service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Support chefs and cooks by providing necessary supplies and ingredients during service. Help with the disposal of waste and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations. Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards to maintain a safe working environment. Participate in stock management by assisting with inventory checks and reporting shortages. As a Van Driver - Similar responsibilities, but from within the van. Driving between checkpoints to serve.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential. A keen interest in culinary arts and food preparation. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy kitchen setting. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Good communication skills to liaise with chefs and other kitchen staff. Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as required.

Permanent

Monday - Friday

Hours: 0600-1600 (8 hour shifts within these hours)

DUE TO LOCATION OWN TRANSPORT IS ESSENTIAL.

DUE TO OUR CLIENTS REQUIREMENTS YOU WILL BE SUBJECT TO ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING.

Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour
