Role Overview

We are seeking 4 kitchen based Catering Assistants, with experience in the catering industry to join our restaurant team at Highway Garden & Leisure in Norwich, Norfolk.

The ideal candidates will have experience working in a catering environment and a genuine passion for food. Duties will include food preparation, cooking, and serving food and beverages, including a daily carvery.

We are looking for people with excellent customer service skills, strong communication abilities, and a positive "can-do" attitude. You should also be confident in helping to maintain high standards of hygiene at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Support chefs with food preparation and cooking tasks, covering hot and cold dishes from the main menu, the daily carvery, and occasionally our Patisserie section. Set up and clear down food stations, following strict cleaning and hygiene schedules. Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas in line with food safety and hygiene standards. A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable. Receive, check, store, and rotate stock deliveries appropriately. Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies at all times.
These are permanent roles as below:

Role 1 - 14 hours per week - Saturday 9:00am - 4:30pm and Sunday 9:00am - 4:30pm

Role 2 - 20 hours per week - Monday 9:00am - 4:30pm, Wednesday 9:00am - 4:30pm, Sunday 10:00am - 4:30pm

Role 3 - 20 hours per week - Thursday 9:00am - 4:30pm, Friday 9:00am - 4:30pm, Saturday 10:00am - 4:30pm

Role 4 - 6.5 hours per week - Sunday 9:00am - 4:00pm

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 12.30 per hour
