ROLE PURPOSE:




We're recruiting an experienced Catering Lounge Supervisor who is passionate about exceptional food and customer service, and who can confidently oversee on a full-time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.


The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality food service, maintaining hygiene standards, managing stock, and leading a dedicated team to provide exceptional meals for staff at ExCel London.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIIES:



Oversee the daily operations of the staff canteen, ensuring efficiency and high service standards. Manage and supervise kitchen and service staff, providing training and support as needed. Implement menus in collaboration with chefs, considering staff preferences and dietary requirements. Maintain food quality, hygiene, and health & safety standards in compliance with regulations. Monitor stock levels to ensure availability of fresh ingredients/ menu throughout the day. Oversee budgeting and cost control to ensure profitability and waste reduction. Ensure excellent customer service and address any staff feedback or concerns. Coordinate with FOH teams to adjust catering needs based on peak and off-peak times.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:



Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality or catering industry. Strong leadership and team management skills. Knowledge of food safety, health & safety, and hygiene regulations (e.g., HACCP). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. Budgeting and cost-control experience. A passion for high-quality food service and staff well-being.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:



Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain). Experience working in large-scale catering or event-based environments. Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergen management.
